R&T Auctions – Terms & Conditions

Any unpaid invoices will be cancelled with no further notice.
By registering or bidding at auctions.rtauctions.ca or rtauctions.ca, you confirm you’ve read and agree to these Terms, which may be amended from time to time. This is a binding contract between R&T Auctions / rtauctions.ca (“we/us”) and you (“bidder/purchaser”).
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. Your personal information (address, phone, email, postal/zip code) is collected only to verify identity and maintain records.

We never sell or share your information with third parties.

You may unsubscribe from newsletters at any time, but we may still contact you regarding bids, payments, winnings, or shipping.

You can request a preferred contact method, but if unreachable, we may use others.
Registration & Identification

Identity verification is required at registration; a $1 authorization may occur.

You may uncheck “charge my card” at registration to use another payment method.

Bidders must be of legal age. We may refuse or remove bidding rights at any time.
Buyer’s Premium, Surcharges & Taxes

17% Buyer’s Premium on all invoices.

Credit cards: +3% surcharge (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover).

Sales tax charged as required by law.

Additional fees may apply for held or abandoned items.

Shipping/handling charged separately.
Payment Deadline
If you don’t uncheck the “charge my card” option at registration, we will charge the card on file after the auction. Credit card payments include a 3% surcharge.
Payment Due Dates:
Missed or late payments without prior arrangement will result in forfeited winnings and may lead to suspension of bidding privileges.

Buyer Responsibility at Pick-Up
Buyers must verify all items before leaving. Once items leave the premises, R&T Auctions is not responsible for missing or incorrect items.
Item Condition & Catalog
All items sold “as is, where is,” with all faults. No warranties or claims after removal.

Review descriptions/photos carefully.

Attend preview if possible; bids cannot be retracted.

If description and photo conflict, written description prevails.

Retail values shown are approximate—research before bidding.
Personal & Property Risk
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R&T Auctions and consignors from any loss or liability arising from participation in our auctions.
Additions, Edits & Deletions
We may add, edit, or remove lots/items at any time during an auction.
Auction Records
In the event of a dispute, our records are final. Photos may include props for illustration—only described items are included in each lot.
Online Bidding
Internet reliability cannot be guaranteed. R&T Auctions is not responsible for connection issues or bids not entered due to technical problems.
Soft Close

Timed auctions: 3-minute soft close (a bid in the last 3 minutes extends that lot by 3 minutes).

Hybrid auctions: 10-second soft close (a bid in the last 10 seconds extends that lot by 10 seconds) until bidding ceases.
Catalog Errors & Omissions
Descriptions reflect our opinion, not a guarantee of authenticity, age, make, materials, or condition.

We aim for accuracy but are not liable for errors.

Shipping
We ship worldwide via Canada Post:

Pay your auction invoice.

Contact us to request shipping and confirm address.

We pack/measure/weigh and issue a separate shipping invoice.

After that invoice is paid, your items are shipped (multiple times weekly).
If an item exceeds Canada Post size/weight limits, you must arrange alternate shipping or pickup.
Handling Fees:
Fragile items are packed with care but not insured. R&T Auctions cannot issue credit for breakage in transit.
